Sam Alain came to Canada alone 48 years ago as an 18 year old who couldn’t speak English. A second generation cobbler, Sam dreamed of opening his own store, and worked three jobs to save up enough money. 

Now, after decades of running his successful shop, his sons have taken over the family business, continuing the lost trade as third generation cobblers. 

“We learned from him. He has been very successful and we figured that if we follow in his footsteps we would be the same way,” says Sam Jr. 

Sam Jr and Danny Alain know the value of taking care of your feet and the planet, and want to make sure the art of cobbling is practiced for generations to come.
